Plano voters were asked about Stars arena taxes as Dallas opened a road trip

If you're a Stars fan, Plano voters weighed taxes tied to a proposed arena for the team Tuesday. In a special election for five venue taxes, Plano voters were asked whether to help fund an arena the Stars plan to lease. The vote count wasn't in the reports we had this morning.

On the ice, Dallas opened a two-game road trip Tuesday night at Washington, entering 8-5-1. Coach Glen Gulutzan said the six-game homestand ran too long. "With the way we are playing at home, it's time to go on the road," he said. The final score wasn't in our reports either.

The Wrap

Plano West Senior High School student Tatum Dale turned her dad's head into a canvas for Van Gogh's "The Starry Night." She cut and lightened her father's hair, then hand-painted the swirling night sky onto it for her cosmetology class's Total Look Project. Her dad is a barber. Starry, starry night indeed.
