The Cowboys mark one year since Marshawn Kneeland's death with a new mental health push
The 5AM Lewisville team
If you follow the Cowboys, today is a heavy one. Friday marks one year since defensive end Marshawn Kneeland died at 24 during his second season with Dallas. Coach Brian Schottenheimer said Wednesday that the team has begun talking with players about the anniversary, and that how it honors him will probably stay between them.
The team has also started a "Huddle for 94" initiative to encourage players to open up about things they're struggling with off the field. Quarterback Dak Prescott said it creates small-group conversations about life and stressors. "I think it's going to be big," he said.
